On May 30-31, DUDC trainings on fodder production took place in Lviv and Bila Tserkva. Each day the half was dedicated to theory and the other half to practice. During the trainings, experts of Barenbrug, LELY and Difco International explained how to produce high quality forage grasses mix, what is the essence of quality feed, how alfalfa can be managed in a better way and how sattelite monitoring technologies can assist in reaching maximum efficiency.
During seminars new opportunities for forage production were presented. New varieties, treatment and other issues which may help to improve situation with forage were presented as well.
After the theoretical part of seminars, participants visited fields with forage crops. During visit both Ukrainian and Dutch specialists discussed the problems of growing forage in Ukraine and ways how to improve the production.
